Job Description/Responsibilities
The School of Business at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor for the Department of Accounting. The Assistant or Associate Professor responsibilities include teaching, research, and service activities as well as other duties associated with academic positions.

Candidates for this position will embrace the Teacher-Scholar model, be student-centered, demonstrate a commitment to promoting experiential learning, and incorporate online and blended education models. SIUE is dedicated to the creation and dissemination of knowledge and as such, candidates must be prepared to pursue externally sponsored research and creative activities, engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, and to guide students in scholarly activities, when possible.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Accounting (ABD's nearing completion will be considered). Preference will be given to candidates with a terminal degree from an AACSB-accredited institution. Candidates with a teaching specialization in the areas of auditing and/or financial accounting are particularly encouraged to apply but all teaching areas will be considered. The Department of Accounting actively solicits applications from women and minority candidates. The Department offers AACSB Accounting accredited programs at both the undergraduate and master's levels.

Terms of Appointment
Full-time, continuing, tenure-eligible appointment beginning August 2019.
