Job Description
The Department of Communication Disorders at Maryville University (St. Louis) has two openings at the Assistant/Associate Professor levels. The first opening requires a specialty in child language, while the second position requires expertise in neurogenics/augmentative-alternative communication (AAC) systems. Responsibilities include teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, providing clinical supervision, and mentoring students in research projects. These positions will begin Fall, 2018. The department is housed in a brand new state-of-the-art facility and is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA). The department will be accepting its third class of graduate students in the fall semester to complement an increasing number of undergraduate students. Candidates need to possess the CCC-SLP and qualify for a Missouri SLP license. Candidates must be committed to fostering a culturally diverse atmosphere for faculty, staff and students.

 
Minimum Qualifications:
·         Candidates must hold either a PhD or EdD in speech-language pathology or related field (ABD applicants will be considered)
·         CCC-SLP certification
·         Eligible for Missouri licensure
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Expertise in the following areas will be preferred (but other areas will be considered): child language disorders, articulation and phonology, neurogenics, AAC, and fluency.
