Location: Chesterfield, MO or Mt. Sterling, IL Department: FSQA Reports To: Director of FSQA
Your Role: Chief responsibility for food safety and quality assurance (FSQA) of Savor Imports, Dot’s import subsidiary. You will work with vendors and supply chain partners to ensure products are safe and of the finest quality and that vendors are in compliance with all food safety regulations, foreign and domestic.

 Responsible for food quality and safety of all Savor Imports product
 Collaborate with Savor Imports category managers and corporate chef to establish and maintain product and packaging specifications
 Ensure all Savor Imports suppliers meet all specifications by conducting tests of product, and establishing and conducting audits of suppliers’ plants and processes
 Ensure Savor Import compliance to FDA Foreign Supplier Verification Program and other applicable FDA or USDA regulations
 Support sales in gathering and maintaining all food safety documentation
 Act as point of contact for all supplier and customer food safety inquiries, including resolving all relevant customer complaints
 Monitor processes and analyze data to enable continuous improvement and minimize food safety risk
 Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

Role Specifics:
 Travel – Regular overnight domestic and international travel (4-6 nights per month) to other companies’ facilities, outside training, and internal/external business meetings. Must have the ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.

We Need You To Have:
 B.S. in Food Science or related degree or equivalent work experience
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
 Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
 Ability to collaborate in a team environment

We’d Like You To Have:
 3+ years’ experience in food manufacturing and/or quality
 Knowledge of GFSI, FDA, and USDA standards and requirements
 Ability to develop and work within budgets
 Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence persons at all organizational levels
 Proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
