Job Description
STATUS: Part-time Annual

PRIMARY REPORT: Managing Director

BROAD FUNCTION: Provide administrative support for the Managing Director. Provide coordination and administrative support to the board of directors. Maintain organized systems and documentation for company operations and other administrative functions. Support initiatives led by the Managing Director.

 Assist the Managing Director with administrative support, scheduling, online research, and project coordination
 Liaise with the Board of Directors, providing scheduling and logistical support, meeting minutes and the maintenance of Board materials
 Support effective organization, systematization and documentation of administrative systems
 Support data entry into the company database
 Support coordination and communication between members of the staff and organizational vendors like IT support, copy machine, internet and phones, etc.
 Provide other administrative support for the development office as requested
 Additional projects as requested
o May include support of inter-departmental projects and company-wide events
 Respect, understanding, appreciation, and enthusiasm for the work of Metro Theater Company, specifically, and for the value of the arts and arts in education and youth development generally
 Effective communication skills, including excellent phone manner and solid writing skills
 Excellent organizational skills and time management
 Detail oriented workstyle
 Administrative/office experience preferred
 Ability to show initiative and work independently
 Strong sense of team and willingness to work collaboratively
 Ability and willingness to think and work creatively, analytically and proactively
 Comfort with multi-tasking, balancing multiple areas of responsibility
 Sense of humor
 Ability to learn and work effectively with Patron Manager, a web-based relationship management system
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs
 Database experience helpful
 Candidates with previous experience in not-for-profit administration or donor relations encouraged
