In this role, you'll ensure the safe and reliable transportation of school-age youth while serving as a positive role model. Beyond driving, you’ll help create a supportive and engaging environment, making each ride an extension of their learning and growth. Your presence and care will directly enhance their overall program experience.

Position Overview:
- Type: Part-Time
- Schedule: 25 hours per week
- Academic Year: After-school and evening hours
- Summer Months: Split shifts, similar to a bus driver's schedule
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Safely transport young scholars between LifeWise StL, their schools, homes, and summer program sites.
- Follow all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Engage with youth, providing supervision and support in collaboration with After-School Staff.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance LifeWise StL’s holistic, participant-centered services.
- Passion for working with school-age youth and commitment to positive youth development.
- Receptive to feedback and consistent in your approach to work.
- Must complete 12 hours of professional development per year.
- Missouri Class E Driver’s License for 12-15 passenger vans is preferred but not required.
- At least one year of experience in a similar driving role.
- Previous experience or a strong interest in working with school-age children.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are highly valued and can strengthen connections with diverse communities.
