Boone Center, Inc. to Hold 2nd Annual Jim Lang Memorial Golf Tournament

Boone Center, Inc. (BCI) will hold its second annual Jim Lang Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday, October 5. The event will be held at Bogey Hills Country Club located at 1120 Country Club Rd. in St. Charles, Mo. All proceeds will benefit BCI’s mission to enrich the lives of adults with disabilities and their families by providing a choice of fulfilling work along a continuum of employment opportunities.
BCI seeks golfers, sponsors, and donors for the tournament, which honors the late Jim Lang who served on the nonprofit’s board of directors for 10 years and was its president when he passed away unexpectedly in September 2018.
“We are so pleased to continue this golf event, both as a fundraiser and a tribute,” said BCI CEO Ron Kloppenburg. “Jim was truly devoted to our mission, and his family was rightfully proud of his many efforts. I know Jim would be just as proud of them and how hard they work to make this tournament a success.”
Registration for the tournament is $200 per golfer. The format is a four-person scramble with prizes for the top finishers. BCI made several changes to this year’s tournament to comply with local and federal COVID-19 guidelines. Golfers have a choice to tee off at 8 a.m. or 1 p.m. Each golfer will receive two boxed meals, tee gifts, on-course drinks and snacks, as well as the chance to win fun games and contests. A video premiering on BCI’s Facebook page at 7 p.m. will announce all golf, contest, and auction winners.
